In the first round of playoffs, CSUN receives a bye.  LMU hosts Chapman, LBSU hosts USD and CSUF hosts UCSB.

CSUN Secures T1 Title

The Matadors have won the WCHC Championship three years in a row, but this season they’ve done something that hadn’t been successful before, winning the WCHC regular season title.  With 2 games left to play, the Matadors are sitting perfect with a 6-0 record, and 12 points.  The next closest team, LMU, can’t catch them by the end of the year, and the Matadors once again have proven their WCHC dominance.  By winning the WCHC T1 title, CSUN has secured a first round bye in the WCHC playoffs, which begin on February 7 at Anaheim ice.

Torero’s Perfect in T2

The USD Toreros are in a commanding position in Tier 2, playing to a perfect 7-0 in the first semester.  They have locked up a first place finish in T2, and guaranteed a spot in the WCHC playoffs.  In tier 1, CSUN also is perfect, with LMU in second and the other three teams jockeying for playoff seeding.  There are 15 WCHC games left to determine who will make playoffs, and have a chance to win the WCHC Championship in February.
